Important Transportation Update: Potential GATRA Driver Strike
We want to make students and families aware of a potential disruption to student transportation services. GATRA, the regional transit authority that operates one of our Wareham/Carver bus routes (see route linked here), has informed us that their drivers are planning to strike as early as next week.
If the strike occurs, it will directly affect the GATRA-operated route and could result in service interruptions or cancellations. Because this is a labor action between GATRA and its drivers, we do not control the situation and cannot guarantee transportation on that route while the strike is ongoing.
We will continue to closely monitor developments and share updates as we receive them. In the meantime, we encourage families who rely on the affected route to begin considering alternative transportation options in case the strike goes forward. As a reminder, we do offer an alternative bus route (linked here) that also serves the Wareham/Carver area, which may work for some students and families.
We understand that this potential disruption is inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work through these unexpected circumstances.
