Student Application

Map Academy is a free public school in Plymouth designed for students up to age 24 who have given up or are ready to give up on traditional high school. Our designated charter region is Bourne, Carver, Halifax, Kingston, Marshfield, Middleboro, Pembroke, Plymouth, Plympton, and Wareham, and students residing in those towns receive priority in the lottery; however, all students who have completed 8th grade and are residents of Massachusetts are eligible to apply and attend. We meet our students where they are and empower them toward graduation and beyond. We don’t look or feel like traditional high school. Let’s talk about how we can help you earn the diploma you deserve.

Map Academy Charter School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, creed, sex, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, age, ancestry, athletic performance, special need, proficiency in the English language or a foreign language, or prior academic achievement. Any and all information requested in the application, such as language spoken at home or race/ethnicity, is not intended and will not be used to discriminate. G.L. c. 71, § 89(m); 603 CMR 1.05(2).

For applicants who are not admitted, Map Academy will retain the application and all information submitted with the application as a temporary student record for three years after the applicant’s name is no longer on the waitlist. All applicants not admitted have the right to receive a copy of the documents to be destroyed in accordance with this policy.

Sign up for an open house

Students have a unique experience at Map Academy, and we invite you to check out a sampling of it at one of our Open Houses. Here, you will see the facility, get a sense of how the space allows for the student-centered, flexible model at Map, and have your questions answered by one of our staff.
