Update: Summer EBT Program for 2024

We are excited to announce the launch of the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT) program for Summer 2024! Approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, this program provides $120 per child in grocery benefits to eligible families with school-aged children during the summer months.

What is S-EBT?

S-EBT ensures that students continue to receive nutritious meals even when school is not in session. It complements the Summer Eats program, which offers free meals to kids and teens throughout the summer.

Eligibility

Families with children who qualify for free or reduced-price meals during the 2023-2024 school year are automatically eligible for S-EBT. This includes:

– Students directly certified for free or reduced-price meals.

– Students identified as homeless, migrant, runaway, or enrolled in Head Start programs.

Map Academy is a CEP School.

As a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school, Map Academy automatically qualifies all students who are directly certified. Families not matched through Direct Certification can apply directly through the DTA.

How to Apply

Direct Certification: Benefits are automatically issued without any additional action required.

Application: Families can apply through the DTA Connect web-based S-EBT application starting June 15th. Paper applications are available upon request.

The eligibility period extends through September 7, 2024.
