Map Academy is actively seeking a Facilities Management Specialist to join our incredible team. This full-time position focuses on keeping our school environment clean, safe, and operational, maintaining a welcoming and productive learning environment for all students and staff. Ideal candidate is committed to Map Academy’s mission and has facilities or building maintenance experience. First and foremost, we’re looking for someone with strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to build relationships, work independently, and as part of a collaborative team. Job Requirements

  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the school building and grounds

  • Ensure the facility is safe and supports daily school operations

  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks

  • Support logistical needs for school events and programming

  • Respond to urgent building needs as they arise

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in facilities or building maintenance is required

  • School-based experience is preferred, but candidates from other settings (e.g., hospitals, shelters, residential facilities) are welcome

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships and work both independently and collaboratively

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Must pass CORI and fingerprint-supported background checks

Schedule:

  • Regular school-day schedule

  • May include some early mornings, evenings, and work during school breaks based on building needs
